About me:

Above all, what you should know about me is that I enjoy written form content! That's why I've never really liked how video content has overtaken the internet. My skills have always been in writing as a way to express myself.

As for why I started a blog, I've wanted to have one since I was a kid, and now I finally have the skills and ability to! It's been an interesting learning curve in delving into coding, but it's actually been pretty fun for me! I've been on the internet for a long time for someone so young, for better or for worse. However, I wouldn't say I'm old enough to truly remember the old days of the internet. It is a constant regret of mine that I wasn't old enough to be on Tumblr in its heyday.

You may be thinking "why did you randomly start one now?" A valid question. I was moved to start one because of a Tiktok. I don't remember the creator, but they basically said that the internet is being taken over by social media companies and compared our current state to the early days of the internet, where you could create your own space without the confines of an app or being told what you could share. I am a big opponent of censorship of ideas and media. Given my childhood dreams of running a blog, this seems like the natural course of events.

I own four three two five four pet rats (RIP Edna, Mildred, and Lydia you will be missed). My older one is named Ethel (after Ethel Cain), and the younger ones are Prudence, Miriam, and Caroline.
